Building on the Standard Logistics Damage Codes (M-14), this guideline standardizes other aspects of the claim process for damages sustained to motor vehicles in transit. This new publication combines a non-carrier transportation damage liability guideline to assist inspectors in determining if an exception is transportation related or warranty/plant related. A similarity matrix to aid claim processors in determining which damage codes are interchangeable with other codes in the same category and a list of inspection codes as a reference guide to facilitate the interpretation of inspection records.
