This specification applies to plastic garbage bags for domestic and commercial uses.

Bags to this specification are intended for use as receptacles for household, office and light industrial garbage and common waste. They are not intended for food packaging, food storage or biohazardous waste.

The testing and evaluation of a product against this specification may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
