The rationale of using flexible delivery is that it allows courses to be delivered to learners regardless of their location on a schedule that suits the various demands of an individual. This makes the study on engineering courses in a university without wall possible. This paper presents a model which provides a framework for the design and implementation of flexible delivery of engineering courses and describes how this model is adapted at Deakin University in Australia to deliver manufacturing engineering degree courses. This paper also discusses the advantages, challenges, and problems encountered in adopting this model of course delivery.
