This paper focuses on the performance of diamond wheels of same/similar specification engaged in grinding ceramics. Diamond wheels of the same specification were chosen to grind silicon carbide ceramics. Their performances were measured in terms of grinding force, grinding power, wheel wear, surface roughness, and flexural strength of the machined test specimen. Results indicate that wear has significant influence on diamond wheel performance and diamond wheels of the same/similar specification perform differently when subjected to the same grinding condition.
