THE TECHNIQUE USED MATHEMATICAL MORPHOLOGY TO PERFORM IMAGE PROCESSING. THE ALGORITHM IS IMPLEMENTED ON A SUN 3/260 AND A DATACUBE SYSTEM. IT IS GENERIC AND CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO OTHER MACHINE VISION SYSTEMS.
